What could be better?
N. told me today that instead of getting a suite next year we could all get a townhouse. We would get modified meal plans, and eat dinner together on Sunday nights, and it would be just like "friends." Most importantly, living in a townhouse means no RA checking under the bed for fur turtles. I would pretty much need to bring Lancaster to live with me. It wouldn't be unfair to her, she'd have plenty of space, I'd take really good care of her, and we'd be together. I miss her. I would want to get some sort of cuddly pet, and I don't like rodents. G. has a snake, I want my kitty. I also don't think it's a good idea to get a kitten, especially because D. would want to Name it B.D. Wong. Litter box training would suck too, and where would it go on breaks? Clearly, I should just bring Lang to come live with me.

I still kind of think Lang is too old to adjust to that kind of lifestyle change, even leaving aside the fact that, whatever you may think to the contrary, she's NOT JUST YOUR CAT. If she moves to Geneseo I'll presumably never see her again. That's not okay. And don't even suggest that you can take her home at the holidays. Lancaster is like 11 years old. It's not going to happen.
well i couldn't not take her home for holidays. "bye lang! enjoy your spring break! i hope you don't get hungry or want a clean litter box." *door slams*
Sorry kiddo but no. Besides, she wouldn't feel right knowing that Anouk was at home with no one to prevent her from stealing the silver.
Cats do not appreciate change. And a household with a snake and a cat? Asking for trouble, one way or another (and I know which vertebrate I'm betting on). Tough it out. Think how much more you will appreciate Lanc (which would be the correct spelling of her abbreviated name, without necessarily affecting the pronounciation notably) when you get home at the various breaks.
But meanwhile, have you seen Wake up cat? (The animator left out the biting, but otherwise appears to have done a thorough exposition of morning behavior.)
Lancaster lives with me, in Big Pink. That's not going to change.
ok ok i get the picture. b/d. wond and i are going to be very happy together.
Just don't expect Lancaster to send you a salad bowl.
b.d.wong will be feral by the time Christmas break is over.
